Terms of Use

1. General

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern the use of the KONTAKT application (the “App”), owned by Destruction LLC (“we”). By installing and using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. About the App and no affiliation

KONTAKT is an unofficial client for the VKontakte social network, built on top of the official VK API with sign-in via VK ID. The App is an independent product, not connected with, affiliated with, or endorsed by VK LLC. “VKontakte”, “VK”, “VK ID” and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners and are used solely to indicate compatibility. “Yandex” and related marks belong to their respective owners.

3. Conditions of use

• a valid VKontakte account is required to use the App;
• you agree to comply with the VKontakte Terms of Service and the VK API terms of use;
• you are responsible for actions performed in your account through the App.

4. Access and sign-in

Sign-in is performed via the official VK ID service. We do not request or store your VKontakte password. Processing of authorization data is described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising

The App is distributed free of charge and contains advertising shown through the Yandex Mobile Ads network. By using the App you consent to the display of advertising materials.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the App for unlawful actions, to violate the rights of VKontakte or third parties, to circumvent VK API restrictions, or to decompile, interfere with, or otherwise abuse the App, except where permitted by applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

Rights to the App and its original components belong to Destruction LLC. Content displayed from VKontakte belongs to its rights holders and/or VKontakte users; the App merely provides an interface to access it through the official VK API.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Its operation depends on the availability and rules of the VK API, which may change independently of us; interruptions, feature limitations, or discontinuation of individual features are possible.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, or lost profits arising from the use of or inability to use the App.

10. Termination

We may restrict or terminate access to the App in case of a breach of these Terms. You may stop using it at any time by uninstalling the App and revoking its access in VKontakte’s security settings.

11. Changes

We may change these Terms. The current version is available at mykontakt.app/terms.en.html. By continuing to use the App after changes, you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and contact
